Confirm it says Omnipod 5

The brand name on the front of the box will read Omnipod 5. If it reads Omnipod DASH, see our DASH page instead. If it says neither, you may have pods for the original Omnipod system, which are listed separately in the Omnipod category. Our guide to telling Omnipod 5 and DASH apart has more detail.

Check the compatibility on the box

Omnipod 5 pods are packaged by the CGM they are meant to work with. The directory lists two versions:

• Dexcom G6/G7 compatible — the version most people have.
• FreeStyle Libre compatible — listed so you can ask; this version may not be accepted at this time, so please call first.

What Tonya checks

• Box sealed and undamaged, with the pod count visible.
• Expiration date on every box (pods can carry different dates within one shipment).
• No loose pods counted as a full box. Loose pods are reviewed separately as singles.
